Weezy has a special performance planned for the Philly event.
The Live Nation Urban-backed 2024 Roots Picnic will take place in June. This year’s installment of the two-day festival in Philadelphia features a star-studded lineup that includes Lil Wayne performing live with The Roots.
New Orleans-born rapper Lil Wayne and Philadelphia-bred Hip-Hop band The Roots will celebrate Wayne’s hometown. Festivalgoers can also expect special guest appearances by R&B singer PJ Morton and jazz/funk musician Trombone Shorty for that set.
In addition to Lil Wayne, Roots Picnic 2024 will host performances by music veterans such as André 3000, Nas and Jill Scott. Newcomers like Victoria Monét, Sexyy Red, Tyla and October London are on the list of scheduled performers as well.
