21 Savage has already delivered one of the highlights of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, thanks to his performance in the Ruffles All-Star Celebrity Game.
The teams comprising stars outside of the world of basketball were led by Utah Jazz governor Ryan Smith and NBA Champion Dwyane Wade. 21 suited up for Team Wade, which was coached by Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers.
He and his teammates — including Janelle Monae and Hasan Minhaj — faced off against fellow rapper Cordae, who played for Team Ryan.
Prior to the actual game, the teams competed in a 4-point challenge, in which players earned $4000 for each made bucket and a lead to start the contest.
21 Savage checked in during the first quarter and had to overcome his teammate Janelle Monae playing defense while on offense, but managed to dish an assist to tennis star Francis Tiafoe.
After serving up a hard foul and two turnovers, the “Rich Flex” rapper made one key offensive contribution with a 3-point bucket to help Team Wade take a 21-to-19 lead with a minute and a half left in the quarter.
Cordae was less active on the court scoring zero points, but enjoyed some pizza on the sidelines with his coach Fat Joe.
