DDG has said his relationship with Halle Bailey has never been stronger after being called out by the singer’s sister.

Bailey’s sister Sky Bailey took to Instagram Live on Wednesday (February 8) after reading a post that said DDG had put Halle “on blast” amid rumors of them breaking up.

“Darryl, DDG, bruh, what’s wrong with you? Halle’s not like the ones that you’ve been with, you will not treat her the way that you’ve treated these others,” she warned. “I don’t give a freak if y’all had issues going on — that’s what you won’t do, please understand that.

“You’re not going to do her the way that you did everybody else. You’re not going to come to social media and try to put her on blast and insinuate or put out something to make it seem like she was doing something that she wasn’t doing. You need to pipe down and get yourself together.”

She added: “If y’all broke up, then you need to just unfollow and keep it pushing; you don’t have to put nothing out there like that talking about ‘all these girls is the same.’ Are you dumb? Are you stupid? M’kay.”

However, Sky later corrected herself after learning the couple were very much still together. “My bad y’all. I spoke to my sis and ain’t nothing going on lol,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories afterwards. “Let me go back to drinking my water and minding the business that pays me.”

DDG himself echoed Sky’s sentiments and clarified on Twitter that no one was breaking up with anyone.

“The internet is so gullible,” he wrote in one tweet, before adding: “Nobody cheated on nobody btw. don’t take my tweets too serious…n-ggas take life too serious. We all gon die at some point anyway, let’s try to have fun while we here..”

Earlier this week, DDG stirred up breakup rumors after he posted a since-deleted tweet that hinted something was amiss in his relationship with Bailey.

The tweet read: “All these girls the same ain’t no wayy” along with a crying face emoji. The pair then seemed to have unfollowed each other on social media, and DDG appeared to have deleted all of his photos he had with Bailey on Instagram.

The pair began dating over a year ago and had always showed each other love on social media. Last November, DDG told The Breakfast Club why he was so enamored with Bailey.

“I’ve never been with nobody that’s like really motivated me like she do,” he said at the time. “I’m seeing different shit. I ain’t really been around this type of shit before. So, it’s like, she’s bringing me around shit that I ain’t really—you know what I’m saying?”

He added: “I was my own person before her, but in a way, she put me on to different shit. That’s dope because I’m usually the one putting muthafuckers on.”

On the music side of things, DDG dropped off his album It’s Not Me It’s You last year, which featured appearances from Polo GNLE ChoppaGunnaKevin Gates and Babyface Ray.

The album served as the follow-up to his 2021 project Die 4 Respect, which he released as a collaborative effort with Atlanta producer OG Parker. It peaked at No. 61 on the Billboard 200 and featured the lead single “Moonwalking in Calabasas” with YG and Blueface.
