Freddie Gibbs Clowns Gunna Following Plea Deal In YSL RICO Case

Freddie Gibbs hasn’t wasted any time in clowning Gunna after his release from jail following a plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

Gibbs took aim at Gunna in a series of tweets on Thursday (December 15) calling out Hip Hop for moving the goal posts and holding rappers to different standards when it comes to snitching.

“It was n-ggaz that took they verse off my album cus Wunna ain’t like me,” he wrote. “I wonder how they feel now.”

Gibbs continued: “I prayed for this day and y’all n-ggaz said I was hating… Welp. Rap full of snitches so y’all gone welcome this n-gga home with open arms. Y’all gotta stop moving the goal post for these n-ggaz.”

Freddie Kane didn’t stop there either as he turned the alliteration of Gunna’s “Pushin P” hit record into “Pushin Plea.”

Gunna and Gibbs’ beef dates back to 2020 when the Gary, Indiana native accused him of appearing on an episode of Crime Stoppers in Atlanta, but Gunna said that wasn’t the case.

“If u was on Crime Stoppers u was a snitch. No way around it,” Gibbs tweeted in 2020.

Gunna reprised the feud earlier this year when he claimed that him dropping DS4 would be the biggest moment of Gibbs’ career.

“Yes, that’s me, but that wasn’t on no crime stopper,” Gunna added at the time. “I don’t know what the hell niggas are [saying], ’cause I wasn’t in no case or nothing. … ‘Oh you snitched on who?’ I was never in no case.”

Gunna even dissed Freddie Gibbs on 2022 DS4 track “Poochie Gown,” rapping: “Hang above the rim/ I can’t fuck with Freddie Gibbs (No)/ N-ggas tellin’ fibs.”

The YSL rapper pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge when he was back in court for a virtual hearing on Wednesday (December 14), which resulted in him securing his release hours later.

Gunna and his legal team entered an Alford plea where he plead guilty to one charge because it was in his best interest to do so as far as his freedom goes.

The Atlanta native was sentenced to five years with one served in prison where he was since being arrested in May as part of the YSL indictment headlined by Young Thug. The four-year sentence left will reportedly be “suspended” and Gunna will serve the rest in the form of 500 hours of community service.

“My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”
