Jay-Z Adds International Dates After Roots Picnic Triumph

Jay-Z’s expanding his stadium tour with Paris and Los Angeles dates following his triumphant Roots Picnic return.

Jay-Z is taking his momentum from one of the most anticipated performances in years and translating it into a global stadium takeover that’ll cement his status as Hip-Hop’s most enduring force.

Following his triumphant return to the stage at Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic on May 30, the Brooklyn legend just locked in two massive international dates that’ll keep the energy rolling through the fall.

He’s bringing his “JAŸ-Z 30” tour to Paris’s Stade de France on September 10 and Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on October 23, adding these shows to his already sold-out three-night run at Yankee Stadium in July.

What makes this announcement so significant is the context surrounding it.

That Roots Picnic performance marked his first major U.S. solo headlining show in over seven years, and he absolutely delivered with a 90-plus minute set featuring more than 30 songs that had the crowd moving.

The performance included reunions with Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk, and Freeway, plus freestyle moments that reminded everyone why he’s considered one of Hip-Hop’s greatest lyricists and most influential figures in the culture.

Beyond the music itself, Jay-Z made a visual statement that caught everyone’s attention at the Roots Picnic and subsequently at NBA Finals Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

He debuted a fresh afro, trading in his signature locs for a completely different look that signaled a new chapter in his artistic journey.

The transformation showed he’s ready to present himself differently while maintaining the credibility that’s defined his entire career.

Tickets for both international and domestic shows go on presale Thursday, June 11, through Citi and Mastercard, with general on-sale beginning Friday, June 12, at livenation.com.
