Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' Is Eligible For A Grammy, Says Recording Academy CEO

Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" already debuted at number one on Billboard, it's constantly played on the radio, and one could say it replaced Dr. Dre and 2Pac's "California Love" as L.A.'s rap anthem.

On top of that, it's very possible Kendrick could nab a Grammy award for the song, according to Recording Academy CEO, Harvey Mason Jr.

"Obviously, it’s a hot record, it’s amazing artistry, great writing," he told TMZ. "The talent on that record, it’s incredible. You got an artist that's been nominated before ... He's been successful with the organization ... I don't see any reason why it couldn't be. It's all about the quality of the record."

Kendrick has already won 17 Grammy awards, which Drake complained about on his K Dot diss song "Family Matters."

How do you think he'll feel if Kendrick does win a Grammy for a song that calls him a pedophile and a colonizer?
