Kid Cudi Pulls Plug On Travis Scott Joint Album: 'The Moment Has Passed'
December 09, 2000
Kid Cudi has revealed he is no longer doing a joint album with Travis Scott, but hasn’t closed the door on future collaborations.
On Wednesday (December 21), Cudder took to Twitter for an early morning Q&A session with fans, during which one follower asked him if his project with La Flame, which was tentatively titled The Scotts, was still on the way.
Unfortunately, the Moon Man informed the fan that the anticipated album is no longer happening, saying that ship has sailed. “Is The Scotts album still on the cards,” the fan asked, to which Cudi replied: “Naw im not doin that. The moment has passed.”
Not all hope was lost, though, as Cudder promised another fan that he and Scott will still release more material together. The Cactus Jack rapper previewed a new song with Mr. Rager just a few months ago.

December 21, 2022 Kid Cudi and Travis Scott released what was thought to be the lead single from their joint album,
“The Scotts,” in April 2020.
Produced by Mike Dean, Dot Da Genius, Plain Pat and Take a Daytrip, the ominous, hard-hitting track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard, marking Cudi’s first-ever chart-topper and Travis’ third. It has since been certified platinum.
Travis told
GQ later that year that he and Cudi — who he’s hailed as his favorite artist and biggest inspiration — had “a lot” in the works, while Cudder hinted as recently as September 2021 that the project was still happening.
“It’ll happen. Not sure when, but it will,” he
told fans on Twitter.
Elsewhere in his Q&A, the Cleveland native confirmed he doesn’t have plans to make a sequel to his Netflix series and soundtrack,
Entergalactic, although he did tease more animation work in the future and said his next project will “fuck” people up.
“@KiDCuDi Is there ever gonna be a
Entergalatic part 2,” one fan asked, to which Cudi replied: “Nooo sadly, it was just a special. BUT, im not done w animation, and my next project im workin on is gonna fuck u up in the best ways too. Trust!”

December 21, 2022 Despite initially
suggesting that Entergalactic would be his last album, Cudi has been teasing a new album for weeks now.
“Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more,” he
told fans in November. “Wont be next year. Keep u posted.
“This is for all my fans that have been ridin w me for so long. This will be all new music. The songs ive teased ill prolly put out as singles here and there to hold u over.”
The project appears to be quickly taking shape, with Cudi recently
revealing that he recorded 11 songs in just five days. At least one track is expected to feature
Young Thug, and according to Cudi,
it’s “fuckin INSANE.” Cudder and Thugger previously linked up on “Moon Man,” from last year’s YSL compilation
Slime Language 2, and have also appeared together on numerous
Kanye West leaks.
