Lil Wayne Breaks His Silence On Missing The Hot Boys Reunion At Essence Festival

This weekend's Essence Festival was supposed to include a Hot Boys reunion, but Wayne didn't join the set and performed by himself.
People were obviously upset about his absence, so he addressed their disappointment on Instagram Live.
"Funny story: I got hit up by somebody, somebody text me. I guess they had been at the show too long or something and they said, 'You wrong. You know you should have came out. You wrong, Wayne. You had all these f*cking fans out here. You didn’t come. You know you should have' ... I’m like, 'What you talking about? The afterparty or something?'"
Wayne didn't give a full-on explanation as to why he missed the reunion and instead played ignorant, which he also did when asked about a Hot Boys reunion album.
