Remember when a Lil Wayne update on his Carter series would send the rap world into a frenzy?

For those who still care, Weezy gave an update on the status of Carter VI when asked about it halftime of Monday's college football national championship.

“Guaranteed," he said when asked if would drop this year.

Last summer, he claimed the album was complete.

Wayne has been talking about Carter VI since 2020, when he dropped his last album, Funeral.

He dropped Da Carter V in 2018.
