Mystikal’s Son Discusses Emotional Impact Of Father’s 20-Year Prison Sentence

Million Tyler, Mystikal’s son, opens up about his father’s 20-year prison sentence, discussing the emotional toll it has taken on him.

Million Tyler, the son of rapper Mystikal, opened up about the emotional weight of his father’s 20-year prison sentence following his guilty plea to rape charges.

In an interview with TMZ’s Charlie Neff, Tyler expressed the complexity of supporting both his father and the victim while navigating his own path forward.

“You know, I feel bad for the victim as well as my father,” Tyler said. “You know nobody wins from these situations. You know, it’s hard for both parties if we’re being honest.”

When asked if he believed the 20-year sentence was fair, Tyler deferred judgment to the court system.

“I don’t think I would really have a place to put too much judgment on them, you know, so life will be what it’ll be,” he explained.

Tyler was present in court during the victim’s testimony, which detailed the violent nature of the assault.

The victim told the court that Mystikal choked her, pulled her braids out, punched her, and forcibly raped her. After hearing this testimony,

Mystikal told the court, “If I did that to you, I deserve the max sentence.”

The experience left a profound impact on Tyler.

“It’s a lot to deal with, a lot to compartmentalize in my mind. It creates a huge array of different emotions and things to have to deal with,” Tyler shared. “A lot of decisions that he made, I don’t agree with. I’m trying to be my own artist. I have to keep pushing so that I can continue to elevate myself.”

Despite the strain, Tyler hasn’t completely closed the door on his relationship with his father.

“I do plan on going have a conversation with him at some point later in life. You know, I couldn’t say when it would be, but I do definitely plan on going and have a conversation with him,” he said.

When asked what he would say to his father now, Tyler’s message was one of hope.

“I hope you get the help you need,” he said, his words trailing off as emotion took over.
