Nicki Minaj Praises Barbz For Going After Her Opps

Nicki Minaj delivered a message to the world about her diehard fans known as the Barbz. On Tuesday (February 20), the “FTCU” rapper praised her supporters for their devotion to defending her and attacking her foes.

“I be tryna tell y’all nobody is exempt,” Nicki Minaj tweeted. “ANYBODY CAN GET IT. It don’t matter WHO start it, the Barbz ALWAYS finish it. I been doin this s### for a long time now & [every time] I ever tried to warn [people] that the Barbz are different, they had to learn the hard way.”

The 41-year-old New York City native then listed six things she claimed to have learned about her stans since joining X (formerly Twitter) in 2009. Minaj posted:

In addition, Nicki Minaj alerted any potential adversaries about her parasocial relationship with the Barbz. She also added in the tweet, “I’m not their fave, I’m their family. Know the difference & then… Play @ your own risk [squinting face with tongue emoji] [winking face emoji].”

Minaj has been involved in several high-profile feuds with other celebrities. Throughout her career, the Pink Friday 2 album creator publicly clashed with Lil Kim, Remy Ma, Cardi B, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, and others.

Previously, Nicki Minaj instructed her Barbz not to attack people. In November 2023, the Young Money crew member shared an open letter on Instagram. She wrote, “Dear Barbz… Be sure to never threaten anyone on my behalf. Whether on the internet or in person. Whether in jest or not. I don’t & never have condoned that.”
