TakeOff’s Alleged Killer Asks For $2M Bail To Be Reduced

TakeOff‘s alleged murderer, Patrick Xavier Clark, is looking for a significant reduce in his bail – and he promises to live with his mom and dad if he gets it.

On Monday (December 12), TMZ obtained legal documents showing Clark filed a motion in Texas to reduce his $2 million bail to $100,000. His attorney said that the amount is too much for his client to afford – but if reduced, Clark would live with his parents, wear a GPS monitor and abide by whatever curfew is given.

Despite the fact he was found with his passport and tickets to Mexico upon his arrest (though his legal team says he wasn’t trying to flee the country), the alleged gunman said he’s also willing to surrender the passport and follow any “no-contact” order he may be put under.

The motion comes just days after the judge presiding over the case granted Clark’s request of $5,000 to hire a private investigator. Per the terms of the agreement, the private investigator will take on the case for a price lower than the normal rate and he will also receive a printer and laptop from the sheriff’s office.

According to a report published by the Daily Beast earlier this month, friends of Clark were shocked to he was arrested and charged with TakeOff’s murder, and they believe he’s being framed.

“I know him. He’s not like that,” one of his friends told the publication. “I honestly feel like they got the wrong guy. He doesn’t get mad or hostile. He’s very nice and thoughtful. That’s all I have to say. I feel he is being framed.”

TakeOff was shot and killed during an argument over a dice game outside of Houston’s 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley on November 1. According to new details in an affidavit viewed by New York Times reporter Joe Coscarelli, the shooting took place after a fist fight ensued in Quavo’s defense.

Quavo was apparently involved in a lucrative dice game outside of the bowling alley and then got into an argument after losing money to a pair of individuals. A man identified as Willie Bland then got involved in a physical confrontation in Quavo’s defense and ended up striking one of the two individuals, per video surveillance footage.

Two people then exchanged gunfire – one of which has been confirmed to be Bland. However, his location at the time of the shooting was not consistent enough with TakeOff’s injuries to deem him responsible for his death.
