Trippie Redd Hosts Christmas Toy Drive Dressed As The Grinch
December 03, 2000
While The Grinch attempted to steal Christmas, Trippie Redd dressed up in green but made sure to spread some positive holiday cheer.
Trippie Redd hosted a toy drive in Los Angeles on Sunday (December 18) where he claimed to hand out over 4,000 toys to kids all while rocking the furry green suit.
The Ohio native transformed into Gangsta Grinch with a Santa suit jacket and hat which made him nearly impossible to identify outside of the hand tattoos, but word quickly spread that the “Dark Knight Dummo” was the one behind the toy drive.
Trippie and his girlfriend singer Skye Morales handed out a bunch of toys, took photos with fans and even signed merchandise for a few lucky fans swarming him on a Los Angeles street.
DDG pulled up to show Trippie support and after being badgered to speak using his
deep “real voice,” he begrudgingly obliged, which sent TR into a craze.
“Bro, you funny as fuck,” Redd told DDG. “Ay, that’s hard.”
Trippie also took to
his Instagram Story to shine a light on DDG’s music. “DDG Music Hard,” he added.
While Trippie Redd didn’t release a project in 2022, he’s still been hard at work putting the finishing touches on his
A Love Letter To You 5 album, which had been rumored to arrive at various points this year. 2019’s
A Love Letter To You 4 actually boasted a track named
“The Grinch.” Fans will have an opportunity to catch the 23-year-old on the road in January when he opens up for
Future on the One Big Party Tour for a handful of dates across the U.S. Other special guests on the trek include Kodak Black, Polo G, EST Gee, Babyface Ray, Rob49 and Ocean x KungFu, and more.
In October it was reported that Trippie Redd started development on his very own anime series. As a huge anime fan, Trippie will be working with
The Boondocks producer Carl Jones on the series.
The Ohio native
took to his Instagram Story to shed light on his next endeavor outside of the music world.
“It’s an honor to be working on an anime with the same guy that animated the show that made me love anime,” he wrote to Jones. Trippie went on to reveal that he’s already hard at work on the script for the show, which is coming along nicely.
