Wale has long complained about being disrespected by the industry.

During a recent interview, he gave an example of disrespect.

According to Wale, Kendrick Lamar was mistakenly presented with an award that Wale won at the 2013 Soul Train Awards.

Wale on “losing” to Kendrick Lamar:

“I was performing at the soul train awards and they tapped me to let me know I was about to win the award for [LoveHate Thing] but they announced that Kendrick Lamar was the winner”

According to the MVD rapper, the show's producer told him he was going to win Best Hip Hop Song of the year right before it was announced.

Oddly, the presenters read Kendrick Lamar's name.
