Wiz Khalifa Ruined A $10K Suit On New Years Eve
December 09, 2000
Wiz Khalifa has rung in his new year with a soiled $10,000 suit, which the Taylor Gang leader ruined during an accidental fall on New Year’s Eve.
While many of Khalifa’s Hip Hop peers rang in 2023 via Shaquille O’Neal’s VR party, the Pittsburg rhymer spent the evening taking an unexpected dip into his pool.
“I tripped and fell in the pool in my 10 Thousand Dollar suit so y’all can take me back to last year cause this ain’t it,” Khalifa tweeted on Sunday (January 1), adding, “New year same me.”

January 1, 2023 Despite falling into the new year, Wiz Khalifa closed out 2022 with a bang. It was most recently revealed that he’d be dusting off his acting chops to star as
George Clinton in
the forthcoming film, Spinning Gold. Documenting the rise of Casablanca Records in the 1970s, Khalifa’s role was announced in 2021 alongside Tayla Parx as Donna Summer, Ledisi as Gladys Knight and Jason Derulo as Ron Isley of The Isley Brothers.
“
Spinning Gold is about a group of people who, once upon a time, lived a fairytale and made their dreams come true, all set to some of the greatest music ever pressed in vinyl,” Timothy Scott Bogart said in a 2021 press release.
“Bringing these dreamers and artists to life has been the privilege of my life. For a film about one of the greatest salesmen in the entrainment business, I am thrilled to be working with Christian, Marc and the entire team of Capstone to share this timeless story to audiences and music lovers around the world.”
This is hardly Wiz Khalifa’s first time on the silver screen. The rapper made his debut in a cameo role in 2012’s
Gang of Roses II: Next Generation, and then starred alongside
Snoop Dogg in their stoner comedy
Mac & Devin Go to High School later that same year.
On the music side of things, Wiz Khalifa dropped off his funk-infused album
Multiverse in July, which includes production from Girl Talk, Hitmaka and Bankroll Got It. The weed-friendly rapper had already gifted fans with a good amount of music in 2022. This includes a joint project with
Juicy J titled
Stoner’s Night and another one with Girl Talk, Smoke DZA and Big K.R.I.T.
titled Full Court Press. Wiz also re-released his
cult classic mixtape Taylor Allderdice to DSP’s on April 20, which arrived after the tape celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 13.
