Young Dolph’s murder case has taken another turn now that a fourth man has been arrested in connection with his death.
According to Fox 13, Memphis Police took Jermarcus Johnson into custody on Friday (November 18) afternoon after being named as a suspect by the MPD. The authorities said that Johnson turned himself into the Multi-Agency Gang Unit.
Per the report, Johnson has been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. The indictment goes on to say that the authorities believe he helped hide his half-brother Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith after the deadly shooting and helped the two men get away following Dolph’s murder.
Johnson’s arrest comes just a year after Dolph was gunned down in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

November 18, 2022 Last Thursday (November 10), charges were brought against a fourth suspect, Hernandez Govan. Law enforcement officials indicted him on charges of “first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.” Officials alleged that Govan authorized to the hit on Dolph and his conspiracy to commit first-degree murder dates back to June 2021, which means he allegedly plotted the murder for several months in advance. “Mr. Govan has been indicted and is in custody for being involved in the Young Dolph murder,” Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy said during a press conference. “He played the role of the person who solicited the murder.” Johnson and Smith are currently custody after also being charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, along with firearm charges, earlier this year. Both men have pleaded not guilty and are expected back in court on January 20. Shundale Barnett also has been charged with accessory after the fact for allegedly helping Johnson after Dolph’s murder. She remains at large after being mistakenly released from jail in January. Mia Jaye, Dolph’s partner, posted a heartfelt video on Instagram to honor the one-year anniversary of his passing. She shared the devastating impact that his immense loss has had on her and how she is navigating the daily challenges. “Today is a week from the anniversary of me losing Adolf, and this almost-year has been the most challenging year I have ever had to face in my life,” she said. “It’s like the closer I get to this year mark, man, I just be so… trying to be positive about something so messed up. It comes to a breaking point to where it’s like it’s really just unfair.” “I get so freaking mad,” she added. “Why did we have to go through this? Why is this something that my family has to endure? Why is it something that my kids have to endure? Because somebody felt that it would be better to just take somebody’s life.”
